Sailing from Puerto de Mogán: a €99 shared yacht or a private charter?
Updated October 12, 2026 · 5 min read
Up to four people: book the shared Mogán Luxury Yacht Experience. It is €99 per person for four hours with lunch and drinks, 4.7 from 23 reviews, and capped at 12 guests. From five people, the 3-hour private yacht trip at €449 for the boat becomes cheaper per head, but read its reviews first: 3.2 from 14.
The four boats
| Tour | Duration | Price | Rating | Who pays | What the page lists |

| 3-Hour Private Yacht Trip with Snorkeling, Brunch, and Beverages | 3 hours | €449 | 3.2 (14) | per group up to 9 | champagne, brunch, drinks, snorkel gear, paddleboards |
| 6-Hour Private Yacht Trip with Snorkeling and Lunch | 6 hours | €749 | 5.0 (4) | per group up to 9 | champagne, lunch, drinks, snorkel gear, paddleboards |

What each person pays
These are the prices above divided by the number aboard. The operators publish no tiers.
| People | €99 shared yacht | €449 / 3 hours | €749 / 6 hours | €180 / 1 hour |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | €99 | €224.50 | €374.50 | €90 |
| 4 | €99 | €112.25 | €187.25 | €45 |
| 5 | €99 | €89.80 | €149.80 | €36 |
| 8 | €99 | €56.13 | €93.63 | €22.50 |
| 9 | €99 | €49.89 | €83.22 | not offered |
The 3-hour boat undercuts the shared yacht from five people. The 6-hour boat only does so at eight (€93.63), and at seven it is €107. The 1-hour boat is cheapest on paper at any size, but it is a quarter of the time.
The shared yacht, and a surprise in its itinerary
The Luxury Yacht Experience is sold under the Mogán name, yet the itinerary on its page starts with pickup in Maspalomas, a 30-minute van ride, a one-hour break at Playa Perchel and ten minutes of scenic views off Playa de Mogán. The page marks pickup as included and lists transport from outside the south of the island as not included. Check the pickup point for your date before you count on it.
On the includes list: a welcome glass of cava, a lunch of pork tenderloin, salad and Canarian potatoes (a vegan paella is the alternative), unlimited juices, soft drinks, sangria and beer, towels, paddle surfing and snorkelling. Extra water activities and cocktails are listed as not included. Guides speak Spanish, English, German and Dutch.
The pitch is a small group of up to 12. A traveller’s review on the page mentions a 40-minute swim while lunch was prepared and calls it calm and personal.

The three private boats
All three are run by Aquafunmogan with a professional skipper, a welcome glass of champagne and unlimited water, soft drinks, beer and wine. The pages list snorkel gear and paddleboards on the 3-hour and 6-hour boats. Languages on the pages are English, French, Italian and Spanish.
3 hours, €449. The page names Playa Perchel for swimming and snorkelling, then Playa de Veneguera, and an appetiser-style brunch on board. It meets at the Cofradía de Pescadores in the port of Mogán. The rating is the weak spot: 3.2 from 14 reviews. That is too few to condemn it, but read the recent ones before paying.
6 hours, €749. Here the page promises several swim stops, paddleboarding and a full lunch. The 5.0 rests on four reviews, so it is a promise, not a track record. It only makes sense for a group of eight or nine, or for people who really want a day on the water.
1 hour, €180. A short coastal cruise past volcanic cliffs and coves, towards Playa de Veneguera. The price label says up to 8 people while the description says up to 9, so a ninth guest is a question for the operator. One hour is a gift, a celebration or a first taste, not a swimming trip.
What the pages do not say
None of the four pages says whether the boat sails or motors. The descriptions use “sail” and “yacht” loosely, and the photo on the shared tour shows a sailing catamaran, but that is not a promise about your trip. If sails matter to you, ask the operator.
Minimum ages and seasickness are not covered on the pages we read. For advice on seasickness, ask a pharmacist, and read our guide to private yachts on Gran Canaria and what they cost per head for the island-wide picture.
Our recommendation
Couples, and groups of up to four: the shared luxury yacht at €99 each.
Five to nine people who want the boat to themselves: the 3-hour private yacht, at €449 for the boat, once you are comfortable with its reviews.
A full private day for eight or nine: the 6-hour private yacht.
